Standing Committees

 

Budget Committee creates the organization's budget in order to maintain fiscal responsibility.

Classroom Parent Committee works together with room parents to coordinate classroom parties, field trips, teacher gift collections, teacher appreciation week and the PTO calendar raffle.

Cultural Arts Committee coordinates assemblies to enhance the educational experience of our students. Assemblies provide our children with exposure to authors, musicians, plays, and other art forms that they would not typically experience in the classroom.

Hospitality Committee welcomes our teachers and staff with a luncheon at the beginning of the school year. This committee plans a week long celebration in an effort to thank our amazing teachers and staff during teacher appreciation week.

Library Volunteer Committee maintains the library volunteer list and schedules volunteers in coordination with the school librarian.

Nominating Committee collects nominations for executive board positions and oversees the election and  installation of board members.

Promotional Committee coordinates programs with companies to raise money for our schools. These programs include Box Tops for Education and Amazon Smile.

Special Grants Committee collects mini grant requests from teachers and distributes the special grants funds in an effort to enrich the education experience of our students.

Sunshine Committee provides sunshine to families who need it the most. Sunshine committee organizes volunteers to provide meals, rides, laundry, etc. If you know someone in need of our help, please contact committee members.

Event Committees 

 

Barnes & Noble Book Fairs Committee organizes holiday and summer reading book fairs for our students. Fairs include performances by the Wolf Hill chorus and the Maple Place chorus and band. Raffles and a drink contest add to this fun filled event.

Bowling Committee plans a bowling bash for boys in grades K-8. This fun-filled afternoon includes bowling, pizza, drinks, snacks, and a 50/50 raffle.

Dance Committee organizes a night of dancing, activities, and fun for girls in grades K-6.

Fall Festival Committee puts on an amazing event filled with activities for everyone in the family. Activities include a petting zoo, inflatables, pumpkin painting, children's games, a haunted hallway, caramel apple station, bake sales, gift basket raffle, and so much more.

Kids' Night Out Committee offers our students a fun filled night while parents get a chance to finish up some last minute holiday shopping. Kids enjoy holiday activities, games, crafts, a movie, and pizza.

Scholastic Book Fairs Committee organizes Fall book fairs at the Back to School Nights as well as Buy One, Get One Spring book fairs in the Spring.

Tea Party Committee hosts a tea party for 1st & 2nd grade girls at the Shrewsbury Yacht & Sailing Club. The party includes a craft, bingo, refreshments, and more.

Variety Show Committees organize shows that will showcase the talents of our amazing students. 

 

 

Wiffle Ball Committee organizes a wiffle ball tournament for boys in grades K-8. This friendly competition is an event boys will not want to miss. The event includes a bagel breakfast, pizza lunch and celebrity pitchers from the Oceanport police department.

Yoga Committee organizes an fun yoga event for girls in grades 3-6. 

Value Development Committee encourages students to contribute to the community with selfless acts of kindness. These programs include "Pick A Feather" and Halloween candy donations.
